John Lewis at home opens in Newbury
John Lewis has opened its eight ‘at home’ shop today (Friday 20th April 2012) in a 60,000 sq ft unit at Parkway. The new John Lewis at home devotes two floors to furniture, furnishing accessories, consumer electronics and home technology, self select beauty, travel and nusery. A customer cafe is also available in store.
Newbury Comes out in the Thousands
Parkway opened on 27th October with more than 30,000 people flocking from across West Berkshire to explore the new shops and enjoy the first day of the weekend of fun-filled activities and celebrations. The line up now includes: Debenhams, Costa, Jigsaw, Mint Velvet, Argento, Fraser Hart, Paperchase, Lakeland, H&M, Fat Face, Top Shop, New Look, Superdry, M&S, Barclays, Jones Bootmaker and Johnsons Shoes. John Lewis at home will open in Spring 2012.

John Lewis is to open a two-storey, 63,000 sq ft ‘at home’ shop at Parkway, focusing exclusively on furniture, furnishing accessories, electrical and home technology.
Trio of Lettings
Paperchase, new to Newbury, has taken 3,100 sq ft over two floors. Fat Face has taken 3,600 sq ft also on two floors, and Costa Coffee has committed to a 3,000 sq ft coffee bar.
Lakeland comes to Parkway
Parkway has added an exciting new name to its line-up of shops this month (February)
as Lakeland – the quality kitchenware store – has taken a 6,500 sq ft two-storey store in
the heart of scheme.
Topshop signs at BCSC
Topshop signs up to Parkway, Newbury at the BCSC. The new 8,112 sq ft store will bring Topshops brave and irreverent approach to style to capture the imagination of fashion-conscious shoppers in Newbury with a fantastic array of up-to-the minute mens and womens fashion and accessories and designer collections.
Topping Out Ceremony
The Parkway development reached another major milestone on 29th October with the topping out of the roof of the anchor store, Debenhams.
Representatives from Standard Life Investments, contractors Costain and West Berkshire attended the event.
New Look
New Look takes 20,000 sq ft and joins Debenhams, H&M and Marks & Spencer
